Shredded Cypress Bark is like a mild Redwood Bark in that it also has the ability to lower pH in a mix. It is also fibrous, open, fluffy and more resistant to decay than fir bark. Cypress is known for its ability to handle water and warm conditions without breaking down for long periods of time. Ours is like triple shredded hardwood bark in texture, not stringy, and with some chunkiness.
