rePotme is pleased to offer citric acid crystals in a convenient screw top container. Citric acid is a safe, all natural organic acid that is the same acid that is found in citrus fruits. It is an effective alternative to harsh corrosive acids that are used by professional nurseries to lower pH levels.

Citric acid can be used to lower pH in a fertilizing solution, often requiring 1/8'th teaspoon per gallon of water (.2 grams/gallon) or less. To test pH we offer a convenient and easy-to-use pH Test Strip Kit.

Cleaning water and fertilizer marks off leaves is easy with citric acid. Mixed at 1/8'th teaspoon per gallon of water, citric acid makes a natural leaf shine product.

For more information on water quality, please see the article originally printed in Phalaenopsis and the AOS bulletin which is reprinted here with permission Part 2 - Water Quality. The entire 4 part article on orchid nutrition is available from our FEED ME! MSU Orchid Fertilizer page.

Citric Acid is available from rePotme in a one half cup size and comes with a quarter teaspoon measuring spoon.

Store in a cool, dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
